On Sunday, March 26, 2023, Trevin Wax will teach a Sunday Night Theology lecture titled, “The Enduring Power and Relevance of Christian Orthodoxy” at Christ Church West Chester. In our day and age, the language of “deconstruction” abounds. Challenges to Christian doctrine are launched from the directions of ethics, rationality, personal experience, and from many other areas. What tools are Christians to use to respond and to stay firmly rooted in the faith themselves? Are we to stop our ears to the world or should we change our message or tactics to appeal to those around us? In his lecture, Trevin Wax will demonstrate that the historic, apostolic faith once for all delivered to the saints remains as compelling as ever not only because of its rationality, but because of its beauty. His lecture will therefore be a call to rediscover and re-embrace the thrill of the orthodox faith. He will preach in the morning service at 10am and will deliver his lecture that evening at 5pm. The event will be free and open to the public.

Trevin Wax is the  Vice President of Research and Resource Development at the North American Mission Board in Alpharetta, GA.
