WEST CHESTER – Dr. Donald S. Whitney, professor of Biblical Spirituality at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and author of Praying the Bible and Spiritual Discipline for the Christian Life, will be speaking at Christ Church West Chester on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 at 5:00PM for their April Sunday Night Theology event.

Our lives are packed with work responsibilities, meetings, appointments, extracurricular activities, and to-do lists. Full schedules shrink our desire to maintain a vibrant prayer life. And prayer seems impractical anyway since its results are often not immediate and are intangible. Why pray more frequently when we pray the same old, boring phrases about the same old things, over and over and over again? Knowing this struggle is common to the Christian life (personally and from his ministerial experience), Dr. Whitney’s seminar will seek to aid Christians where they are often weak so that they can encounter Christ afresh in prayer.

This Sunday Night Theology talk on prayer will be given by Dr. Donald S. Whitney of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary at 5:00PM on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 at Christ Church West Chester, 200 S. Church Street, West Chester, PA 19382.

Dr. Donald S. Whitney is a professor of Biblical Spirituality and an Associate Dean of the School of Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and is the founder of The Center for Biblical Spirituality.
